I have started off this great day by watching the history channel. There was a great featured story called "Paddy Whacked: The Untold Story of the Irish-American Gangster". The interesting part that I didn't realize was the great possibility of mob association to the death of President Kennedy. His father ,Joe Kennedy, was a wealthy banker that felt America needed an Irish president. He worked with the mobsters to create that and to get Kennedy into the office (gangs and politics who knew). So basically he "bit the hand that fed him" and his sons death was supposely the greatest hit to this date. The triumphs and failures of the Irish community within America were told rather well in this documentary. Recommend watching this or reading the book. Enjoy!
Yes! My father is a huge OU fan
I have to say in spite of myself how much of a big fan my father is of OU. He skipped a trip to Mexico for Christmas just to go the National Championship. I guess most OU fans would do the same. What's so funny is he makes special trips to see us when the OU Texas games is coming then takes a special trip to Dallas to watch the game that same week. You gotta love him! He may live in Alabama but he will stay a Okie thru and thru. I have placed a photo of his tickets for all you fans out there to slobber over. Enjoy!
Agape Children
I watched a program on HBO this week about the agape children in Africa. It really helped to open my eyes to how well I have it. These children lost everything and they worked really hard to rebuild some hope through music. They used their skills of singing and recorded a CD to sale and gain money to rebuild thier home that was tragically lost in a fire. They each shared a heartfelt story of thier lifes. Please help to donate to these wonderful children. You will feel better for doing so.

Hair Hats by Nagi Noda
I feel inspired and confused by these crazy hats made by Nagi Noda. She designed fifteen animal-inspired hairpieces, from poodles to lions to owls and elephants. I guess I now know what I will be wearing to the ball this year. Just say no to fur and yes to hairpieces made to look like animals.
All kidding put to side, I do have to give it to her! She rose as a prominent art director designing print advertising, book designs and CD sleeves before turning to larger clients such as Nike. Her commercials have won a host of prizes in Japan. The woman can create, no matter how wacky it can seem.
