About Me I am new to ONEsite and excited to be part of such an excellent team in the social networking space. I have 15 years of experience in various aspects of the computer industry and have really enjoyed the ride.
    Position: Web Application Developer
Favorite Experience: My last solo flight before my check-ride. Forest fires made the air hazy and ruddy-orange, the coastline was beautiful and the activity at the airport with the fire fighting bombers challenged my skills with two emergency procedures in one flight.
Hobbies: I enjoy music in most all forms, am a classically trained cellist and currently am tracking the Seattle breakcore/noise/experimental scene. I also play computer games, study ballroom, Latin and swing dance, hike and hold a private pilot's license.

    Good Week!

Friday, April 11, 2008, 09:02 AM PST [Work]

Just spent the week at the ONEsite home office in Oklahoma City. I have to say, I haven't gotten out to see the sights much and I am always disconcerted with the significant lack of mountains but I do enjoy coming down here. I feel like I have much better access to the dev hive-mind and it's always better for morale to be working with the team during the crunch times.

Next week I should have the documents module wrapped up and ready for some serious testing, and I've got a good handle on how the next piece should work too. I didn't get as much done with that as I wanted this week but I did a lot of work on some of our other critical clients and I feel like I've really got a much better handle on the parts of the code base I haven't had to work with yet. One of the hurdles of working in a sattelite office is when you don't know what you don't know it's rather difficult to know what questions to ask... :)

All in all it was a good week. Thanks guys!

    Happiness is...

...knowing that even though you spilled a completely full cup of coffee:

    1. You didn't spill it on any critical electronic systems.
    2. The lovely bakery where you get your coffee gives free refills.

    Coffee run anyone?
