For the design junkies, BMW recently debuted their concept vehicle named GINA, which is an acronym for Geometry in n (ie. infinite) Adaptations.
It is purely conceptual and not intended for a production run, but it is very interesting to see the thought process and innovative ideas behind it. Its essentially a cloth "skin" that can adapt to numerous structural adjustments of the cars 'skeleton.' This could serve as both aesthetic and functional depending on the situation.
Thought it was very interesting and it serves as a reminder that design plays an integral role in the development of great products.
