A longtime friend of mine snapped this picture on his iPhone Monday night as a storm started rolling into Edmond. Simply awesome!
Pops on Route 66
My wife and I decided to venture out to Pops on Monday evening for dinner. I was expecting a 50's diner type establishment, but what we found was a glorified gas station. We parked and headed in to find heaven to any soda pop connoisseur's taste buds. Five hundred plus beverages to pick from at for only $2 per bottle. We opted to eat dinner first before searching through the extensive collection of drinks. The food wasn't that great, but the endless refills of Dublin Dr. Pepper from the tap made up for it. A shot of cherry and I was floating on cloud 9. We finished up dinner, added a "sixer" to our tab, paid, and then went shopping for the 6 bottles to take home. I went with a root beer, orange cream, and a vanilla cream, while my wife picked out three fruit flavors. Total damage for dinner, 6 pack, and a tip was about $35. Overall, it was an interesting place to visit and we may head back out there for some more to go bottles at some point, but the food is much to be desired for.
Current iPhone configuration
I've been toying with iPhones since the launch of the first on over a year ago. When the 3G version came out, I had to get one. I'm a firm believer that jailbreaking opens the phone up to so much more potential.
Here is my current setup. It is completely themed, has a working desktop weather widget and desktop clock that flashes the ":" for each second.
