Fearless Prediction for College Football this year

Monday, April 6, 2009, 11:35 AM CST [General]

OSU is definitely the team to watch this year. They have made impressive runs in the South division, even with huge holes in the program.

    No more...

Zac, Dez, Kendall, etc.... they definitely have all of the pieces to build a successful offense this year, even with the loss of Petigrew. They can score and they can score quick. Offense - check.

Now for the defense. OSU can keep up with anyone offesnively if the defense can get a few stops or turnovers, so they don't need a top 5 defense. They just have to slow you down a little. Last year, they played 4 teams ranked in the top 3 at the time. All 4 of these teams had blistering offenses. They learned alot in these games.

So they have the offense, they have enough on defense, and the team leaders have the experience to take this team to the next level this year. All teams say the goal is to win the national championship. OSU is serious about it this year.

They are in my preseason top 10 and I project one loss from a south division foe. That loss will come from either OU or Texas and won't hurt them much, especially if it is at Owen Field.

The last piece is the coach. He is more than capable fo taking over the Big 12 this year!

So the prediction - BCS game and possibly the title game if they get enough respect.

    Tourney picks...

Wednesday, March 18, 2009, 10:11 AM CST [General]

So its no fun playing the seeds, so here are some first round upsets...

    1. Cornell over Missouri

Come on, they have a 7 foot center.

    2. Miss St. over Washington

State has been a hot team

    3. Arizona over Utah

I actually have them going to the Elite 8 over Wake

    4.USC over BC

This could change, but right now I have them knocking out Mich. State as well
